Plantation Packages
We have put together packages for small farmers that contain the materials to produce 1,375 liters of our gelled, time release water and the number of bedding plants that 1,375 liters of the gel water will maintain through one growing season. These calculations are based on an average temperature of 20°-30° C. (82°-86° F.). Some supplemental watering may be required if temperatures exceed 30° C. (86° F.). We have designed plantations that will require as little as 0.019 acres (77 square meters) and as much as 0.289 acres (1,170 square meters) of land dependent on the particular crop chosen. The packages will include the following:
25 Kilos (55.1 pounds) dry mix
2 Kilos (4.4 pounds) activator
1 each mixing bowl
2 each measuring spoons
1 each spatula for stirring
1 each shaker for adding dry mix
1000 1 liter (quart) containers for the gel water

A donation of $700.00 U.S. will buy one of the above 12 packages for a farmer in Africa. One of the above Plantations will provide work for the farmer and a product he/she can eat, sell, or use to barter with other farmers in as little as two months. This donation will include the cost of training the individual farmers.
In return, the farmer will be required to plant 25 trees on their land during the first year. The trees will be provided in a separate package. The trees have been identified as preferred choices for planting in Africa. The Moringa tree has a high nutritional value. The Jatropha tree has commercial value and makes good fencing around agricultural areas. The Pawlownia tree has good commercial value.
Other native trees will also be considered. They may include Olives, Palms, Almonds, Grenadine (Pomegranate), Argania, Acacia etc. A donation of $400.00 will plant and maintain 25 high value trees for one year. In most areas, the trees will survive with little care after the first year.
The 25 tree package will include the following:
8 Kilos (17.6 pounds) dry mix
500 mg. (1.1pounds) activator
100 each 1 liter (quart) containers for the gel water
25 each seedling trees
Farmers will be able to harvest nutritional food from the Moringa trees in the second year. The Jatropha trees will be providing fencing around their vegetable crop and they can harvest the nuts for sale to the commercial market. The leaves from the Pawlownia trees will provide good fertilizer for their vegetable crop and after a few years, will provide wood for fuel and building materials.
So, for a donation of $1100.00, sponsors can enable a farmer in Africa to grow nutritional vegetables to eat and use for commerce, and plant valuable trees for personal enhancement and to help the environment.
